IT law

The information technology law (IT law) is a growing field in the Principality of Monaco.

It arises from different new texts, especially Law No.1.383 of August 2, 2011 on Electronic Commerce for civil and commercial matters and the Convention on cybercrime of the Council of Europe for criminal matters.

For administrative matters, Law No. 1.1165 of December 23, 1993 on Protection of personal data addresses issues related to automated processing of personal data.

Due to the widespread use of the new technologies, and the current development of IT laws, caution is requested in order to comply with the new regulations.

We advise and assist our clients for any IT legal question in Monaco.

We can also assist for any matters related to the use of personal data (legal obligations, relations with the Commission de contrôle des informations nominatives, etc.).
